08-10 rear diff cover

I just picked up an 08-10 diff cover for our 04 Excursion. I took it out of the box and noticed that it had a groove machined in it that looked like a gasket should have come with it, but none did. I was just planning on using high temp gaska-sinch on it when I put it back on. Is there a gasket I need to go track down, or am I good to go?

Good to go, I used RTV when I put mine on my obs.

You also need longer bolts.

You could use rope in the groove with rtv. Works on the big trucks. Good insurance.

Isnt your rear an 80?

If your rear is a D80, I have an 08 D80 cover.

I went to our local Fastenal shop, picked up my 12 SS bolts and washers for $7.18.
