1955 IH Truck 549 V8 to DT466 conversion

Might be my dumbest idea ever but i think it would be cool. I've got a 1955 IH truck/tractor, not sure of the model anymore, single dually rear with fifth wheel. Any way, the thing is in half decent shape for the age. It's got a IH 549 V8 in it now. I want to swap in a DT466. I would prefer a 466 with the inline pump. I may have a line on a 466E for a good price. How hard is it to swap an E over to mech injection? New head, front cover etc? Probably better off holding out for a mech?

For the sake of swappabillity, I would say mechanical, I would also search for dt360's, unless you just need a big ass motor in it

I have the diesel version of the 549 in my International. The dv550... hope she lives on forever.
