First the truck had a bad death wobble so I replaced all the ball joints, U-joints, tie rods, steering stabilizers, red head steering box, and all new bilstein shocks all the way around with new rotors and pads since the brakes where worn out as well. For the engine side I ordered River city egr delete ARP standard studs OEM head gaskets with stand pipes Gasket kit for valve covers, manifolds, etc OEM turbo bolts STC Fitting and Dummy plugs Thermostat glow plug harnesses Sinister coolant filter OEM oil cooler rebuild kit Updated turbo drain tube (Mine was built 11/05 so it had the crushed one) The FICM was replaced about 2 years ago and it doesn't drop voltage so I did not replace that The HPOP is holding just over 3900 psi at WOT so I did not order a new one either To monitor everything I ordered a EDGE insight and added the egt prob and a fuel pressure sensor from glow shift for fuel pressure. For performance I decided to go with KC68 turbo WPE stage 2 ported manifold Jesse Warren 190/75 injectors with upgraded long side solenoids Diamond eye 5" turbo back exhaust (They said it was a 4" downpipe in this kit but the one provided looks like 3.5") New 7 layer oiled AFE filter for intake with pre filter sock 6.4 stock fuel pump before stock 6.0 pump 5/8 pickup tube (Use stock pickup for larger return) Driven diesel regulated return So far I have already installed all the suspension and the edge gauge as well as tore down the truck and installed the head studs and new gaskets I dropped the heads off at a local machine shop before to have them machined to make sure they are flat they said there is some minor cracking around the exhaust side valve seats but they held pressure so I did not have them replace them with harder valve seats due to cost. (I hope this doesn't come back to bite me later).. I am waiting for the injectors to get here so I can put the rest of the truck back together right now the heads are on and just waiting so I can install the rest of the parts. I did the studs cab on in my drive way last week it took me a full day to tear down and remove the heads and then another day to install them after I got them back from the machine shop. I already installed the 6.4 pump and pickup tube with larger lines and it bumped my fuel pressure to 59 psi without the regulated return so I am hoping with the regulated return it will hold pressure with the 190's. When I dropped the tank for the pickup tube I also did the harpoon mod to fill the tank a little more and this worked great! Here are some photos of the truck and the work I did last week.
