2015 ford oil change guide

Well my dad just got into a new KR 250 and was on shop key under the maintenance tab. They asked what conditions the truck were running through and they actually had a tab for ULTRA LOW SULFUR DIESEL. i thought that's all u could buy but anyways they recommend oil change intervals of 2500 miles. Why are the intervals so low?

I thought intervals were 10k factory. Thats what they were per the "scheduled maintenance" when my brother bought a new ford. It was a gasser none the less....

IF a Ford shop recommended 2500 mile intervals I'd suggest a different dealer. OEM intervals per the manual are based on expected/actual driving conditions.

Page 62 starts intervals at 3000 miles for extreme usage.

I get mine changed every 5,000 and I don't use it really hard. I'm still new to the diesel scene but that's also what the dealer suggest I change at. Also do fuel filter every 10K.

Same for me.
It's my work truck so better clean oil.

I do a 7500 mile oci with a dfcm filter change each time. I change the engine mounted filter every other oil change.

I change mine whenever the truck tells me so, which is usually after 5000 miles or so.

Oil gets changed every 5k with full syn. Fuel filter every 15k. Just passed 15k today. Changing the fuel filters and oil monday.
