I've got our tunes loaded on this video. The race tune shifts pretty firm because they lock in every gear at wot and do not unlock during shifts plus no de-fuels. It was struggling for traction while trying to shift fast enough. Under light to moderate throttle they shift at normal RPMs and without the harsh lock. But that's why it's a race tune. And you have to realize this truck has more power than a standard tune only truck. It will by nature push more rpm before shifts get completed. It gets better with more learn time. It only had 10 miles on it after the re-tune when it took the video. But with our exhaust brake working I have found like the other tunes, it is sluggish below 80* ect. We are still working on perfecting that. But the brake does work which is nice. I also have the pip tunes as well. They seem to shift at about the same rpm at wot on the extreme tune. They seem to have the same power as well. But when I ran the pip tunes in the extreme setting the converter does not stay locked through all the gears. Which allows for smoother shifts but it definitely is not as fast. Plus it throw an over boost code. Which I am going to see if they can get it removed because it limped out. This poor truck has been tuned way to many times already lol. And I think I've hurt the tran with all the re-tunes and not enough learn time on the trans before beating on it. 4-5 up shift at wot is getting very bad. To the point I have to let off during the shift. Oh well, time for built trans in the near future...
