When I asked if the FORD rep could describe this replacement color, the closest description that they could give me was that the Rapid Red was a cross between the depth of the Ruby Red Metallic and the luster of a Candy Red... When I asked if I could see examples of the Rapid Red, I was told that there are promo photos on the website that are currently marked "pre-production" and labeled "Lucid Red", but are actually of the truck in the new Rapid Red. Lucid Red was just a concept name at the time, but has now been finalized for production and marketing as Rapid Red. I checked it out on the site and it did not look too bad, but, while still a bummer, time will tell once the trucks hit the lots in December (tentative, according to FORD rep). Anyone else out there that HAD their sights set on the Ruby Red Metallic? [/QUOTE]
