I have a goldenrod-type filter housing on the pressure side and use no filter, different size 'screens' all the way to 10mic. This has been a tremendous asset while traveling. I use it to co/lect wvo, then H&S and use same pump to push thru filters (ultimately the same 2mic I use at home for 'final' filter inline after a 10mic g-rod element). IMHO the most economical pump is a modified SBC pump (melling 55). It can be powered with anything from cordless or corded drill to a salvage elect motor to a gasoline engine. I have a 5hp pressure washer at home with bad pump I will use to power one of these pumps... Hoping itll move 5-10gals/min at just above idle (quiet!!!) [/QUOTE]
