Empty trailer up to Chicago I averaged 12 at 72 mph. I was loaded with about 8 tons in a 7 ton trailer. So I took it slow 62 mph on the way back which is at around 1800 rpms I got better than 10 mpg on the way back. Which is why I was thinking 35's would drop my rpm's and improve my mpg's.
