Those guys with Cummins spinning 5K are not stock. Most likely the are 6.4 motors. 6.7 crank with custom rods in a 5.9 blocks. This corrects the rod angle to allow the high rpms. You need to remember, a 7.3 is a big motor to be spinning that fast. That extra 1.4 liters of displacement makes a big difference. Those clutch dumps have caused piston contact.
