4R100 case cracked

Hey guys I am wondering how my transmission case would get cracked. The crack is on the driver side about 2/3 of the way back and it goes vertical from one of the pan bolts. If anyone has any input on this it would be great.

Over torque the bolts maybe?

Is that covered under warranty?

I talked to BTS today and I dont think the case is covered. He said he would have to look over to see what exactly caused.

Im pretty sure that dinky threads in the case will strip out long before enough stress was put on the case to crack it. Could be wrong and probably am, however nothing mechanical is always perfect, there will be some casting flaws

Yeah I dont really think it was due to over tighten. I was just wondering if anyone have had this happen and what were the causes/
