[QUOTE="MorganY, post: 850537, member: 3115"] LOL. There are two seals on the pump shaft. One called the torque converter shaft seal (little orange one at the tip) and the pump shaft seal, which is the large black one pressed into the front cover of the pump. It may be hard to do, but check and see if the spring behind the inner lip of the seal is still intact. The spring is similar to the one found in the front crank seal pressed into the lpop cover. The things you can't see: Pump o ring, square style ring that surrounds the outside of the pump. Black with a green trace. Pump gasket- in place behind the pump up against the case surrounding the OD pack. Better? No? Im assuming you did eliminate the main harness connector, dipstick tube, and cooler line tube nuts from the equation right? Sometimes they run and drip down to the bellhousing. My guess is you'll need to tear down the pump and remove the shaft to fully inspect it. I'd go ahead and pressure test the tc, and get a TC seal, pump o ring, pump shaft seal, and pump gasket coming from ford. There are very few possibilities for a leak coming from the bellhousing.
