5r110w Problems

I have a 2008 f250 6.4 obviously with 144k miles running Sct xtreme Street tune by innovative. My tranny was slipping hard on 3-5 shifts so I had a service done and a modified direct clutch solenoid installed. If I start from a dead stop it shifts flawless. Nice a firm, no slippage 3-5 anymore. But if I try to get into it mid acceleration she shudders on the downshift. Also I got into last Friday and then came to a complete stop and the transmission stayed in 4th gear(or 5th if we want to be technical) and then attempted to accelerate in 4th which it didn't like. But then downshifted fine the next time I came to a stop. Just wondering if anyone else has any ideas on what could be causing this. I've done quite a bit of research on the 5r110w but I'm currently puzzled. Thanks for the help!

yup-your direct clutches are smoked.


dd solenoid is a band aid but start putting aside the pennies for a rebuild.
