6.4 Eatting Coolant Has EGR Delete

Here is the story the lariat I just got was low on coolant when I brought the truck home on the 27th of last month. Check it it was low. Bought 3 bottles of the ford gold coolant from ford the next day.

That day I filled here up to the cold fill line took half of a gallon.

checked it again today and its low again.

normal oil and coolant temps 190-210

no puking no white smoke no codes clean bottle no leaks 259,000 miles.

What you guys think?

Crack head. But I've only heard of one crack bad enough to eat coolant.

Oil would be milky or very high to be a cover.

Oil at normal level and color

Drop the oil and catch a sample as soon as it starts to drain. That will remove all doubt on a cover.

Hate to ask but is it studded? Mine had a very slow coolant loss and didn't change oil color any. Oil analysis will tell you if that's where it's going though. If it is getting into your oil its not too bad of a job to get the water pump out to check the front cover.

Found the leak driver side bottom I guess I overlooked it. That radiator looks new too.

Well at least it's nothing too major. Almost don't have a choice but to give alradco or mishimoto a call now :thumbsup:

Yessir just went through the same thing . Ended up picking up a mishimoto in a pinch at innovative diesel . Fit and finish was perfect , the install went so smooth if it wasn't so shiny I would have thought it was stock! On a side note my coolant temps even when towing won't break 194 compared to 198-200 with the stocker.
