So when looking at the pipe from the front of the truck you would cut to the right of the flange to help get it out. That is if you can get a saw on it. But I'm not sure how much you would need to cut off if you had the trans out. I had to remove the whole egr pipe to get the pass side up pipe out with the trans in.
