Belt shredding is due to a few things rough pulleys any of them, belt cocked due to separated tensioner, and pulley alignment. Is the backing shredding or the edges? One of the tensioners is 160 other is around 178. They changed part numbers again too. The newest anti squeak belt ford has come up with for this issue is AC3Z-8620-B and is way cheaper now at $37.24. Also just an FYI Ford Motorcraft parts are now warrantied 24 months UNLIMITED MILES starting oct 1st today. [/QUOTE]
