I did pull the cam and had cylinder 7 and 6 with rounded exhaust lobes and damaged lifters. I did replace the cam with a stage 2 but my valve clearance and piston protrusion was so dang close to not being tolerable that after about 5 months of pounding it with a 300hp tune my connecting rods stretched just enough to contact the cylinder head and piston 5 caught the exhaust valve and broke it clean off while driving at 70mph.
