Egt's should top around 1400-1600, this can be dialed to your preference by pulling fuel on the top end. I would suggest getting the truck live tuned if you can swing it. It's expensive, but you get exactly the best performance possible. Another thing would be get a wastegate to keep from overspeeding and control drive pressure.
