Hey guys, I have a '97 7.3 pretty much bone stock except for a 6637 style intake from riffraff I installed tonight. Everything went smooth but it seems my EBPV has gotten louder and seems to stick open more frequently. I live in MA and can see temps in the 10-20's so I'm not sure if unplugging the valve is a good idea. Anyone have any ideas of what may of happened/ should I unplug the EBPV? Any help is great!

un plug it makes life eaiser. Mine started at -3 this morning with the ebpv unplugged. Mine would come on going down the road.

The larger intake just allows more sound out. I would delete the EBPV it only function is to make the engine warm up faster.

thanks for the input, I'll unplug it later today. I just wasn't sure with low temperatures around here but it sounds like smooth sailin'!

As soon as I get Red truck running, the new to me '96 is getting it. I hate the bloody EBPV pedestal and valve assembly. Really is a gimmick and the difference between having and not is not worth the oil leaks, silly noise and poor engine performance when it's on. I spit in it's general direction. Ford stubbed it hard on that one.
