I was wondering whether paying the extra money for a cold air intake such as air aid, banks ram air etc. Is worth it or just doing a 6637 would I get the same results

no ***in way in hell i will ever run a cone filter of any type again.. every brand has dusted the intske on my dually.. 6637 and be done with it! dave at swamps has made over 800 fwhp with a 6637 filter..
fwiw, i put the 2790(6637s big brother) on my 6.7 and it kicks ass.

this is the filter i used.. typing 2790 is way easier.. i always use donaldsons...What's the Donaldson equivalent to the 2790?

thats cuz they are not hydrophobic like donaldsons...Awesome!!
The non-Donaldson filters cause me to suck in the filter minder on my 38r.

nada dam one either... but like mentioned, go with the donaldson filter...Just don't see any advantage going away from the 6637.
no..why do you say that? You got a big head now because of the 6.7 intake thread? LOL
ahhh 10-4.. no. im just glad it works like i hoped and that it works for others as well.. nothing worse then dusting a motor...Got a lot of feedback and people like it. Giving you hard time.
I swap back and forth between the Ford AIS and 6637 on the F-250. Will throw the AIS w/fender sleeve on when towing our 5th wheel long distances to keep things quieter in the cab. Otherwise I use the 6637. On the Excursion I just leave the 6637 on there. Might try the S&B filter someday. Used oil analysis with the 6637 comes back with silicon under 10 ppm so filtration is great. For me it comes down to the difference in noise levels when towing long distances..........
