I do understand. I get it. I said on the phone I was willing to pay you for the time and troubles, but I understand. Thanks for the offer for other help. My biggest issue in this whole ordeal was that a lot of shops are more than happy to tear the motor apart and sell you new parts, but I only found 2 in my area with a good reputation that was willing to tear the motor down in an intelligent manner, tell me what was done wrong, and then be willing to stick their neck out and say "This is what the original builder did wrong.... " and actually write that up in a legal document or be willing to be used as an expert witness in a court hearing. They didn't want to have to say "another shop screwed up and this is why...." I feel I've found an actual engine builder and machinist who can do that for me. This was not directed at VDP at all. Derek told me his concerns over the phone about the legal process. This is just in general what I've found in my experiences in this fiasco. Why is it so damn hard to find trustworthy shops that will build an engine for someone? A lot of these "shops" are just tuner and exhaust installers and they don't have a clue about actual mechanics and engine fundamentals. Anyone can bolt a lift, stacks, or a chip on a truck. I got to be the lucky one to find a shop that could barely do that.
