I have been searching and trying different things on this truck because it seems to crank for a very long time before it starts. first I had problems with the engine not cranking fast enough I changed cables and starter and found something putting a draw on the battery. I unplugged the brake controller because it was one draw and i'm not sure what the other one is. the draw went away when I pulled the fuse with all the modules, might be the gem because there were a lot of faults stored for it but back on subject. the resivor is always very close to the bottom of the threads on the plug. I put a manual fuel pressure guage in the port on the back of the filter base and it shows 60 psi all the time. seems to always show correct rpm. seems that icp voltage is within spec. seems psi and duty cycle do different things at different starts one time I had 60 percent duty cycle and 1200psi before the truck would start but other times it was 40 percent and 800 or 600 psi. there is some oil in the icp pressure sensor and I have noticed after you start the truck and then shut it off but have the key on that the icp reads pressure sometimes is says 20 sometimes 90 sometimes 120. it should read 0 shouldn't it? when I unplug the sensor and plug it back in it goes to zero but if you don't do that it keeps on reading the same number. once you get it started it starts good once warm. what am I missing? whats my next step? change the sensor? I am not wanting to just throw parts at this thing any help would be greatly appreciated.
