The tab on the pedal linkage is too close to the switch, making for a lot of travel before the switch operates and allowing the PCM to sense the Throttle Position Sensor. You can try to bend the tab away from the switch, its pretty stiff steel though. You can listen and hear the switch clicking when you press the throttle pedal and when you release it. When you increase the clearance the pedal will click with less travel to make it operate. When you only hear one click then its too far away from the switch. Then decrease the clearance until you hear ta click when pressing the pedal and once when releasing the pedal. Repeat several times per adjustment to be sure its repeatable.
