So the truck was running fine before the long weekend where it sat for 4 days as I went out of town, went to go to work and it didn't start (crank but no start). I went to investigate after work and these were my findings: Batteries were good, GPR checked good with full voltage to both posts, changed the CPS since I noticed my RPMs barely moved on crank up (new one has the exact same amount of movement), oil in HPOP is full and pretty clean, oil level is full (a little high actually) had fuel in both tanks (1/2 tank in both tanks) had just filled them the day before. I was starting to suspect a fuel issue after checking all of those things so I removed the fuel bowl cap and it was maybe 1/3 of the way full which seemed odd since its supposed to be all the way full. I removed the filter and flipped the drain valve towards the front of the truck so I could drain the bowl and surprisingly nothing at all came from the drain tube on the passenger side but all of the fuel disappeared. I scrapped the bottom of the fuel bowl just to see if there was any soot down there and got nothing more than a little bit of milky residue on my flat head. I went to crank it with the filter and cap off and it fired right up after a few turns. Fuel bowl filled up within a few seconds and I shut it off. I put the filter and cap back on and it doesn't want to start again, I trial and error a few combinations of fuel filter and cap on or off til eventually I just started it with both off and installed them as it was running. i noticed that the fuel kept disappearing from the bowl as I was cleaning off the filter cap sealing surface (previous owner decided RTV was a good idea there) but I wouldn't see a drip from the bottom. I cycled the drain valve a few times to make sure it wasn't stuck but it kept slowly disappearing. It kept running once installed with a massive fuel leak from the filter cap, drove it around the block with no problems on acceleration or decel. I ordered a fuel bowl rebuild kit from Riffraff, as I don't want to go E-fuel just yet, and hoping that takes the fuel bowl out of the equation but was wondering what else could be a potential problem? Thanks for the help in advance!
