I popped out the blank panel, no wiring is behind it. I've done some research on adding this right side volume control onto the wheel, the consensus I'm finding is you either need to check to see if the harness has the built in provision for the volume control on the wheel or you need a new steering wheel with the right side provision already in tact...I'm not sure what the true right answer is.
