The dirt was sooo packed into the drain valve it scored the ball. It dried like epoxy. I had to remove the valve and drill the crud and then chip it out. That was with 240k miles. I change my filter three times a year. Ive never changed one because I HAD to. I always keep em changed. Being off road for the first 230k miles my truck had dirt under it everywhere.
