I have basic questions about the performance add ons i bought for my 6.4

Basicly ive never driven the truck. Bought it with some sort of engine failure. I have a low mile engine on the way to replace the bad one. I basicly bought a fx4 crew cab 6.4 from a crack head for 7000$ making a very long story short

So to make this truck a solid daily driver and reliable ive bought the following

Arp headstuds and cometic head gaskets
Egr delete kit full removal
Dpf/cat delete AFE atlas 4 inch down pipe back exhaust
AFE stage 2 cold air intake
Gearboxz dpfr tunner

I guess my questions are about the total gains ill get from all the hard parts ( not the tunning) hp, torque , mileage??

And that dpfr has 5 tunes not to concerned with going mach 4. But what can i expect from these levels? How will they effect mileage? How will this effect hp and torque? Im very new to diesel performance anf am really only looking for mileage

that tuner spells danger for your transmission.

I had a buddy that ran the same tuner and he wasn't impressed with it. They claimed a 70 hp boost from the tuner. My buddy said the tuner felt like all it really did was allow for the dpf delete and not really gain much power from it.

Even if it does nothing i i cant really complain im not out for a drag racer just reliable daily driver. If i want to go faster i can allwaus buy a better tunner

DPF-R doesn't tune the transmission added power and no trans tune = danger.

I had the more expensive tackyon version of the DPF-R I got it from a friend that took it off his truck. I wanted to try it out on my truck so I took my PIP tunes off my truck and put that tuner on it. I put the truck on level 5 and took it for a test drive. That tuner had a decent amount of power to it but having the stock TCM tune on the truck and that added power probably wasnt good for my trans in the long run. I ran that tuner for a few months. I took it off and put my PIP tunes back on my truck as I now have a single non vgt turbo.

If I were you buy a good tuner in the first place. I would rather spend the extra money on a better tuner than replacing the transmission.

In all reality you have a 30+ thousand dollar truck. Risking the reliability of its engine or transmission over saving a couple hundred bucks on the tune that runs the whole show doesn't save you anything in the end. Quality parts make a quality truck. But this is just my .02.
