[QUOTE="cbf9703, post: 1407356, member: 14560"] What fun is that? I'm kind of torn on this issue. I completely get with the LEO is saying and have had that basic mentality where I live outside of town. The only time I ever lock my house is if I'm going out of town for a couple of days. I've had kids break in once before and having it locked just caused more damage to windows and doors. When it comes to my trucks, if it's in my little town or an area I'm comfortable with I've been known to leave it running and go into the gas station. I don't worry about things there. When I go into the city, totally different story. I've had the passenger door lock punched and the passenger door handle popped while in ATL. The first time they grabbed my school bag. I'm sure they were looking for a laptop or something similar, but all they got was a pile of papers to be graded. My students actually thought that was pretty funny... [emoji23] A few years later they went through the truck in a hurry. They cleaned out the glove box into the floorboard, opened the sunglass hatches, and had been going through the center console. As far as I can tell they ended up with a pair of scratched Maui Jims lol. My guess is they were looking for a gun. I never leave it in the truck when I'm downtown. They didn't touch my tools behind the seat or take the time to really look at what they were doing. I have a couple CDs in the center console rack and had about $60 cash in with them... it was still there. My spare IPR and a few other things were still there as well.
