Any one using water for DPF fluid?
DEF fluid is mostly water and the rest is urea. The urea is what converts the NOx, water by itself will not work, though if you put just water in the system won't be hurt. Our Freightliner Cascadias have a sensor to tell if there is something other than DEF fluid in the system or if the DEF is the wrong concentration. You contaminate the system with something else, the whole system gets replaced. Read $$$. DEF goes in that tank, nothing else. Dave
