[QUOTE="Tree Trimmer, post: 666146, member: 716"] ok, wtf. let me point out that charles has 600+ on tap, and uses it everyday. and has broken several bts 4r's. there are countless people who have ran every trans made, by all builders, except for maybe the stg 5 from elite, that have broken them on 600 ish hp. this is the point that everyone is trying to make, that your not grasping. trying to make a decision on a trans, based on your expected hp level is FKING STUPID. it does not matter what brand of trans, it will break if you drive it at, and use, 600+ every day. use the points that charles has made. "Make the decision based on whether or not you like the shift feel of a trans like a 5R, vs a stacked planetary trans like the 4R, or on whether or not you think that extra gear is important in the 5R, or whether or not you feel like going through the trouble of swapping things over, so on and so forth." or let me break it down another way. you have talked to the guy who your getting a trans from. Brian. and he has told you that he wants you to put in a 4r. he has told you that he recommends the 4r. he has said, that based on what you are going to do with your truck, use a 4r. so now your going to take the general public's opinion over the guy who your expecting to back your trans, should you have a failure. and the general public's opinion is there is no right answer, and you want to get pissy with people who say that, as apparantly your expecting us to tell you one way or the other which way to go. it does not matter how many times you ask the question, or bump up this thread, your going to get the same answer every time. an right about now, your option is to suck it up, make your own damn decision like everyone else who has had to make it, and get a trans in your truck. or don't.
