I've been running the same SCT II tune in my 04 6.0 since 2005. I recently had to do a smog check in CA for the 1st time. When doing so I had to have the ECM reprogrammed with a 2006 recall to meet CA smog specs.

I only have my original SCT II with tunes I can no longer use due to the new strategy that was flashed into the ECM. Is there anyone left who still has the old programs for the SCT II? I can even supply my old program to a tuner who could make the changes necessary to the program to make it work with the new strategy.

Im guessing your talking about the xcal 2. If so then just contact a tuner of your choice and have them write you a new tune. I still use an xcal2 with no issues. I did have to run the updates from the sct website when I recieved my 2 years ago.

I'm still using my Xcal II from '06. I have new tunes written all the time. Just got some more yesterday. Just have your tuner write tunes for the new strategy.

Yep, still using an Xcal2 here. You'll probably have to put your truck to stock, then update your SCT. Most of the tuners use a new file extension that they changed to a few years back that the old software on the x-cal 2 couldn't read. I remember I had this issue last time I ordered tunes and a simple update fixed it.

Another XCal2 user here. Been using it since 2005 and just received tunes from 2 different companies in the past few months.

You should be able to put your old tunes back on the truck as long as you set it back to stock before it went to the dealer.
