the other day i had my only filter clog up tight
so i unscrewed the head, and reversed the flow
and pumped it into a seperate container,
then i turned it around to the normal flow
it cleared it enoughf to finish my batch.

but i was wondering if a guy back flowed
with 100 percent rug for about 10 min
would it clean out all the crap, and make the filter practally new again ??

what do you think ??

just my .02, but as cheap as the filters are that i use and as lazy as I am I'd be more apt to just swap out the filters. my string filters are dirt cheap and the spin ons im using are like $6 each, granted it might save some coin, but ive been fortunate enough to be able to let mine settle enough so that I'm only haveing to swap out one or the other filter every 200 to 250 gallons of final product, course im mixing mine to 20% rug, which i would believe is thinning the mix enough so that everything drops out that much better.

It would not make it new, but it would certainly extend the life of the filter.
