I personally have done 2 7.3 extractions for oil pans being rotted. one of the trucks were done by another shop with the mentality that engine dont need to come out. the new oil pan leaked all over the place, and in the process, they chopped the pickup tube seal in half, airating the oil.(this causes extend cranking issues, and hot idle issues in case you were wondering why) i also have a lb7 duramax on a engine stand with bent connecting rods. i also have a 6.0 on a stand that we are fixing for johns truck. i have a lly duramax outside waiting with a no.7 rod knock. i have a 07 5.9 cumapart with a bad head gasket outside as well. o and im on trans no. 3 for full rebuild this month also. i guess im going to be misaligning lots of hoods:doh: ill say it again. you do it your way. ill do it mine. just because you dont agree with the way i might attack a certain job, doesn't mean my way is wrong.
