my lifters on my truck sound like there starting to make some noise in the top end and need to replace the lifters but thought about maybe putting a cam in it. is it worth it, and wheres the best palce to get one.

Ive run them in several 6.0's And love them. Have no dyno sheets proving they do anything though.

I would like to see dyno numbers on an install. What other mods besides a customm tune would be recommended?

Well in the defense of the folks using a cam, I really dont think it is realistic to compare what the difference is between having a cam and not having a cam. Installing a cam is A LOT of work and so I completely understand doing other mods to the motor while it is tore down that far aside from just installing a cam. So while both you and I would "like" to see dyno numbers before and after and while that would work in a perfect world, the simple truth is that that is probably not going to happen. JMO.

Drive 2 identical trucks one with one without. You'll never second guess it. That's about all I can say. It's more do a drivability factor and seeing how it moves the power band. Most noticeable seat of the pants upgrade I've ever done. I'm sure Patrick will agree with me too.

Interesting. So the gains are similar for a diesel as a gas motor. Whats the price for a mild cam, not including installation?

They usually run 599$ for the ones we run. I did 2 trucks with the same injector turbo combos. One of them was on 33" tires the other on 37" tires and 8" lift. Only the lifted one had mildly ported heads and our race cam. The one on 37's would keep up with or outrun the smaller truck. Also had lower egt's and had Very better drivability.
