well i got everything ready to make the trip to Rudys tonight. Haven't posted in a while so ill do a recap. truck has been running awesome! had a slight coolant leak which turned out to be a loose clamp so that was a quick fix, and I'm still chasing a very minor oil leak either from the front seal or oil pump housing, either way its very small and ill worry about it this winter. I got looking at the engine bay of this thing a couple weeks ago and wanted to open it up some more. So i ripped the AC system out of it because i was never going to charge it up anyways... and I also bought a pair of Flex- a- light 2500cfm e- fans... Wow their is ALOT of run up front with the shroud removed! Ive been very happy with the results, Keep in mind this is a 100% toy truck so i would never recommend this setup for someone who works the truck.... but for DD/ hotrodding its been working great. Temps are actually lower by 2-4 degrees and access to everything is much easier. I wired them to a manual switch on the dash through a relay and 40 amp fuse... i haven't see over 194 yet even when trying. the 8' bed also came in handy the other day, i put her to work! haha, thought it was comical tonight i gave it another oil change, everything looks great, and borrowed a buddys 7" bed mount stack for the weekend until i figure out what i want to do. I had forgot how good this thing sounds straight piped lol. anyways we will be leaving thursday morning for Rudys, I have no expectations as to how well it will run, the hope was to get it to the track before now but either the weather sucked or i was swamped with work. plan is to drive it over the the Rudys shop gathering thursday night as is then swap tires at the track friday morning. See some of you then!
