I did notice at cold temps that my turbo would not build any boost once cold started until trans and oil temps hit 95 degrees. Once my temps hit 95 the truck ran fine. I guess it wasn't a huge issue since I live in south Texas and its usually hot. Id say even if you were told it is not necessary to unplug the plugs to try it anyways and see if anything changes.
