dana 60 swap

Hey guys its been awhile since I been on here, but here lately I have had quite a mess on my hands. I snapped a front axle which also took out the carrier and the pumpkin housing itself where the oil seal rides. And after having so much trouble with getting parts thru my local dealer(that a close friend is a tech at so I get GOOD prices). I am considering swapping from a dana 50 to a dana 60. My truck is a 2001 F-250 4x4 diesel and curious if any of you guys have done this and how hard was it to convert?

It would be a direct swap..... The only difference is the ring and pinion are from a 44.
Basically 44 guts in a 60 case.

If your gonna spend the time and money. Go to an 05+ coil front end.
