Dash/Vent Panel Removal

Can anyone tell me how the vertical panel to the left of the steering column comes off? It's the one that houses the vent and lighting control.

Yes it does. Just have to be careful. it's held in by body clips.

I'm actually going to try fabricating a mounting bracket that will fit between the vertical panel and the dash.

Remove the lower knee panel first, remove the two mount screws in the upper panel, remove with pulling force the vent panel. Seems as there is a small lip on the dash cluster panel that will hold the edge of the vent panel.
