If the cab corners are rotted, pretty good chance your lower front fenders are rotted too. My upper rear wheel arch rot wasn't that bad, its the million dents i had in the bed that was the headache. There's some tips i can give you with welding in the panels. Like hiding the seam in the body line, sliding the panel behind to support the upper piece.
