Disassembling Ac vents

Has anyone disassembled the dash and rear center console A/C vents?

Looking to paint the chrome trim ring, the A/C louvers...

Haven't done any rear center console vents, but the front ones you just get your fingers inside the vent and pull. They pop right out. At least mine do, and I believe they're that way since 08.
