Use an inch pound torque wrench on the input shaft to check the torque. Loosen the lock nut and unscrew the adjuster a full turn. Rotate the input shaft lock to lock several times without the torque wrench. Start screwing the adjuster inward 1/4 turn at a time. Rotate input shaft back and forth several times between adjustments. The further you screw in the adjuster will make it harder to turn the input shaft when you get where the wheels would be straight(mechanical center). Adjust till there is no more than 15 inch pounds of torque needed to get through the mechanical center. Adjusting too tight will result in a cracked housing or steering that locks when you dont expect it. Be Carefull! Put everything together and check it by turning side to side while slowly driving.
