You can't fill it much because the fluid will spill out once you turn it to slide it in. On a dry fill, I put 15 qts in. Started the motor and ran it through the gears. I like to keep the trans in reverse for 30 sec prior to going through the gears. The pump sucked up the 15 qts which probably filled the converter/ valve body and cooler (6.0) and the motor stalled.
