I was installing a flo-pro egr delete on my 08 and got it all done and started her up and coolant was pouring from around the upper coolant block off plate, thought it was the O-ring, took it back apart only to see the o-ring was fine. got to looking and see a small crack in the cast piece that the plug goes into. can someone please tell me what this cast piece is or a part number. has anyone replaced it and how hard is it?? thank you

I think it is the oil cooler/filter housing assembly. Base part number is 8594: Oil cooler and filter module assembly. Anybody find a different number? You will probably have to pull the turbos and intake to change it... I can't pull up the procedure right now.

Could you explain this a little more for me? Not sure what your sayin

the elbow in the front cover that you are trying to put the plug in? you said it was cracked? the elbow goes in the same way the plug goes in. just remove the 8mm bolt, and pull the elbow out, throw it over your left shoulder, and put the plug in place of the elbow. you will have a bolt and the elbow left over.

If it's the plug on the top side. Like our buddie said earlier, you can remove that elbow you put the plug into and install it on the place you removed the small elbow from.. A Lil confusing, but I you look at the front cover you will see what we mean. It is held on by a 8mm bolt. Not too bad to remove.
