If you are doing wot run peak temperature is not as much of a concern. Lots of factors effect egt like gearing, tire size, ambient temperature, hard parts, tuning. As long as you aren't having a hard time controlling egt during normal driving like passing, accelerating, or maintaining speed I wouldn't worry about trying to remedy with more aftermarket parts.
