Hey guys, a couple of us hold outs over at TDG are the ones who stumbled on to the Archoil products. There is an extensive discussion on the stuff over there. Aside from the small inconvenience of having to order it, AR6200 is a borate based fuel catalyst, the boron element increases lubricity in ULSD and when it attaches itself to the diesel fuel it lowers the ignition point (raises cetane level). In the majority of people trying it, there is a slight increase in performance and an improvement in fuel economy. As a side note, Boron has been used in rocket fuel. Also, don't be fooled by the treat rate, these guys are on the cutting edge of Nano technology in lubricants, putting the elemental particles at just over the atomic level. It definately works at the recommended treat rate. It also works in gasoline, I'm running it in my V10 Excursion and the increase in fuel economy has been over 15%, any of you who have ever had a V10 know their thirst for fuel... Anyway, as soon as I get my truck back together I have arranged to do some pretty scientific dylo testing on this stuff to measure the performance increase at part throttle and WOT (if any) and I'll be documenting fuel mileage as well. I'm more than happy to provide updates if any of you are interested.
