[QUOTE="Lubbockguy1979, post: 892767, member: 385"] one of our service trucks is having a intermitten no start condition. iirc it is a 2000 f450 with a dump bed installed. we took it to the shop last week and they replaced 2 relays after having a blown fuse. the relays that were replaced were for the ecm and the fuel pump (what i was told by the mechanic) the invoice i have lists them as bwd r3177 acess relay. he also said that there was a fuse that was blown on the inside under dash panel it was the one on the right side at the bottom. (i dont have the truck here currently so i dont know exactly what fuse it is). we have put the truck into the shop twice for this problem. the first time they told us it was a plug that had come undone and then this relay and fuse combo. before it went to the shop the second time the wait to start light was not comming on. sunday when we started the truck it was very hard to start and smelled like raw diesel but it did crank and ran every time we tried. today though it decided to not start at all and again the wait to start light is not comming on. i dont have any code reading equipment with me today but i do have a few hand tools and a multimeter. the only code scanning stuff i have is a sct and edge evo for my personal 6.0 if either of those will help pull diag codes. to this point we havent plugged in the block warmer on the truck so im not sure if that will have any effect on it. from the little bit ive searched im lead to think that possibly the fuel bowl heater is bad causing a blown fuse intermittenly and the loss of the wait to start light. based on what was described it sounds like the glow plug circuit may not be working properly either. the cps was changed on this truck recently as well. is there anything elses that i might look at to get this truck back running?
