Ford Sync wire location

I'm installing an aftermarket radio. I had sync but no nav before. Everything is is plug and play with the exception I have to tap a pink/dark pink cord into the oem sync harness. Only problem is I can't seem to find a sync harness where the instructions say it should be. Has anyone else experienced this and could point me where to look for the sync harness?

I thought all the sync stuff was behind the glove box but i dont remember now

I did some more digging and found that the sync wire to tap into is a blue/orange wire on the passenger side. I found a wire matching that description behind the glove box. Tapped into that; unfortunately I got nothing.

Any thoughts? Perhaps there are more than one blue/orange wire on the passenger side?

As it turns out, I located the wire I was trying to tap into behind the glove box, but it was all unnecessary. The pink wire from the aftermarket harness was only needed if the steering wheel controls didn't work - which mine were functioning properly.

Mystery solved...
