As mentioned above, the fuel restriction sensor is a common leaker and on a 96, it should be on the Fuel Pressure Regulator block on the driver's side of the fuel bowl (on the 94-95's it was near the bottom of the filter bowl on the backside). If that is it, it can be replaced with a 1/8 NPT pipe plug (just don't overtighten it!). Other things that could leak: Filter Bowl Lid Regulator to Bowl joint The bowl itself (bottom rots out) The fuel pump (weep hole on the base) The fuel pump banjo bolt Hoses to pump/bowl/regulator Fittings on the rear of heads Fuel Rail endplugs Cheers!
