Ive ran a mini max on hd300 for about 25000 miles now. I have the egt defuel at 1450 and it hits it from time to time. Found some built heads from elite diesel performance for $1825 + a $2000 core charge. They come built with all upgraded components that are supposed to handle the higher temps but im not looking forward to spending $3825 on top of the $3200 ive already paid for the stud/gasket job. Tossing around the idea of putting it back together, pulling all the extras off, and trading it in but i dont want to be that guy.
