I held it at wide open around a 1/8 mile and the alarm went of on the H&S it hit 1476 on the egt but I already had the maxx by 6 trucks. I lifted and the egts went right back down it runs around 600 at cruise 65mph it jumps over 1000 at wide open in just a few seconds. This my be normal but in most of the post I read this is high.
