I can't say how a 76 with stk VGT on stk fuel does As far as BP goes cause iv had a 59 VGT. This is a post after I got the 76 on my truck. Sorry its long From my experience with my truck (stock fuel) I can say... Going from spartan tuning - stock turbos - AFE intake - RCD cac pipe - AFE dpf delete pipe (rest of exhaust was stock) To Spartan tuning - elite 72/59 turbos - AFE intercooler - valve train up grades - 4" DP to 5" straight through exhaust - no limit intake - RCD ported intake. The 72/59 came on sooner then stock Came to full boost faster And dam sure pulled harder. Only reason I listed the mods besides the turbos is cause im sure they had an affect on the overall behavior of the 72/59 effects on the truck. I then acquired gearhead tunes and OUO traction bars. That further improved the overall manners of the truck and felt like it ran that much better....more pull on top is what I would say I noticed the most next to the shifting.....so nice. Followed up was a fully built tranny w/1600rpm RCD TC. The tranny made the truck "feel" like it was making more power...Although clearly it wasn't making any more power. Now up is 6.0 manifolds and high power Jr's 76/59. This will be ran on stock fuel without a gate. Again, only reason I listed the steps of my truck is because of the other mods affect on the truck adding to the way it drives now to how it was when I got it. Stock turbos boost and back pressure.... 50 - 53 boost What the hell is BP lol (I was learning) 72/59 : 58-60psi boost 80-85 of absolute BP. (My atmospheric pressure were I live is 14psi) This is what i experienced with high power Jr's 76/59 on stock fuel and Gearhead race tune.* From a dead stop spool up is just as good as my old TPP 72/59. The 76 spools more aggressively.* What I mean by that is weather your just rolling into it or mashing it to the floor it has more pull to it while spooling.* The 76 is just as smooth at building boost as my ol 72 but the 76 just wants to go, witch translates to pulling harder through the middle and top. It just feels like it has more punch to it. Back pressure is down overall.* It will still climb to low 80s (absolute) in the very top part of the RPMs at WOT. Peak boost is down slightly from 60 to 54 EGTs are down as well. WOT have produced 1350 egt were as the 72 was around 1475 - 1500s Cruising temps are also down 50 - 100 Rolling into it fairly hard temps didn't break 1000. Overall, *at least on my truck the 76 feels like it makes more power....spools as good.....dropped EGTs enough worth noting and drives as good if not better then my 72. IMO its a worth while upgrade (especially if more fuel is added) over the 72 that im very pleased with. Again, keep in mind I've had a 59mm vgt with the 72 and 76.
